WILLOWBROOK (CNS) – A no-hit shooting during a federal illegal immigration enforcement operation in the unincorporated Willowbrook area was under investigation Wednesday morning.
A traffic collision was reported at about 7:10 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Mona Boulevard and 126th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. The area is a couple blocks west of Alameda Street and several blocks south of the Glen Anderson (105) Freeway.
No one was struck by the gunfire and all suspects were in custody, ABC7 reported.
Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and CHP officers blocked off the shooting scene around a white sedan with front-end damage, a busted windshield and airbags deployed. All CHP officers left the scene by 8:30 a.m.
A sheriff’s deputy said the incident involved U.S. Customs and Border Patrol personnel, but offered no details while referring questions to federal authorities.
