TMZ obtained video footage of the moment that a Delta Air Lines plane crashed while trying to land at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday (February 17). Eighteen people were injured in the crash, though none of the injuries were considered to be life-threatening.
The footage shows Delta Flight 4819, which was carrying 76 passengers and four crew members from Minneapolis, Minnesota, as it came in for a landing amid windy and snowy conditions.
As soon as the Bombardier CRJ-900LR hit the ground, it burst into flames and skidded down the runway as thick black smoke rose into the sky.
Despite the conditions, officials told CNN that the runway was dry, and there were no crosswinds at the time of the crash.
The airport was temporarily closed following the crash, causing significant delays. Two runways remain closed for investigation, but other operations have resumed.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
