On Tuesday, Burbank Police arrested 38-year-old Calese Carron Crowder, a registered sex offender, for inappropriate behavior at a local shopping center. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person loitering in the women’s department of Nordstrom Rack on North Victory Place. Crowder was later found at a nearby Walmart.
Using surveillance footage, officers observed Crowder following a female customer in the women’s section, crouching near her, and engaging in lewd behavior by sniffing her buttocks. According to ABC7, Crowder has a history of similar arrests in Glendale and Burbank dating back to 2021.
In 2023, Crowder was involved in an incident at a Barnes and Noble in Burbank, which was captured on video and went viral on TikTok. The Burbank City Attorney’s Office has charged Crowder with one count of loitering with intent to commit a crime. He remains in custody with bail set at $100,000, and his next court appearance is scheduled for August 1, 2025.
Authorities urge anyone with information related to this case to contact the Burbank Police Department’s Investigations Division. The investigation is ongoing, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
