Several Wildfires Impacting SoCal, Sparking Evacuations

Several wildfires are currently affecting Southern California, prompting evacuation orders and warnings. The most significant blaze, the Wolf Fire, has burned 1,165 acres in Riverside County and remains 0% contained. Evacuation orders are in place for areas near Banning, with shelters available at Hemet High School and San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus. According to Cal Fire, numerous firefighting aircraft and hundreds of firefighters are working to establish containment lines.

In San Bernardino, the Lake Fire has consumed 485 acres and is 15% contained, with forward progress halted. Similarly, the Mindy Fire in Riverside County has burned 100 acres and is 50% contained, with evacuation warnings being lifted as conditions improve. The Mandalay Fire, also in Riverside, has scorched 85 acres but is no longer spreading.

The Cable Fire in San Bernardino has burned 13 acres and is 15% contained, with forward progress stopped. As reported by ABC7, residents are advised to remain cautious due to ongoing firefighting efforts and poor air quality from smoke.
