LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Registration for tickets to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles will open in January 2026 on the LA28 website, organizers announced Wednesday.
Ticketing will be managed by AXS and EVENTIM, the official ticketing service providers. Single tickets for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games will start at $28, with early access available for residents near venue cities.
Hospitality packages that include tickets, accommodations and other amenities will go on sale to the public in 2026, while tickets for the Paralympic Games will be released in 2027, LA28 officials said.
“The LA28 Games will be an opportunity to purchase a ticket to history,” Reynold Hoover, CEO for the 2028 Games, said in a statement. “Whether you’re a local family attending your first Olympic or Paralympic event or a global traveler joining us for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, there really will be something for everyone across our suite of ticket options and hospitality packages.”
Organizers outlined the steps fans must take to secure tickets for the Games:
— Sign up for the LA28 newsletter (at la28.org.) to get the latest on general Olympic and Paralympic tickets and hospitality packages, including exactly when the ticketing registration period opens in January 2026;
— Registration is necessary to purchase general tickets;
— Ticket access will be determined through a draw process that assigns purchase time slots for ticket drops beginning in 2026;
— Early access will be available for locals; and
— Official LA28 Hospitality and Travel Packages will be available through On Location on a first-come, first-served basis in early 2026, which will offer a variety of ticket-inclusive options that include customized benefits like guaranteed accommodations, official LA28 transportation options, premium seating and curated in-venue and out-of-venue experiences.
“In Los Angeles, crime is down, homelessness is down and we are leading the fastest disaster recovery effort in state history,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement. “Angelenos from across the city have come together to show the world the beauty of our city, and today is a new step forward. L.A. will be ready for millions to come see the best of our small businesses, diverse communities and so much more.”
Both EVENTIM and AXS were named as an official supporter of the LA28 Games and Team USA, as well as LA28’s preferred secondary ticketing provider.
Through this partnership, LA28 aims to offer a flexible, smooth and trusted resale process, organizers said.
“With Los Angeles as our home base, we will leverage our joint venture with EVENTIM to fuel fans’ excitement for the Games even further by making it easier to attend events, celebrate athletic achievement, and enjoy a more connected and inclusive celebration — backed by our expertise in delivering world-class ticketing experiences,” Bryan Perez, CEO and president of AXS, said in a statement.
Greg Klippert, chairman of EVENTIM Ticketing North America, added in a statement that they are committed to delivering a “seamless ticketing journey for fans everywhere and helping make LA28 a truly unforgettable celebration.”
Meanwhile, Visa will serve as the official payment provider for LA28, continuing its long-standing partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, organizers said.
