A “Protest Rally Against Trump Agenda: No Deportations” will be at Mariachi Plaza in Boyle Heights from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The rally will focus on protesting what Trump has called “the largest deportation operation in American history,” and will “express solidarity with Mexico and other Latin American nations critical of Trump’s plans,” according to organizers.

Demands also include “the call for women and reproductive rights” and “Stand with Palestine” organizers said.

City Council member Ysabel J. Jurado and Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education member Rocio Rivas are scheduled to speak.

Organizers include United Teachers Los Angeles, Union del Barrio, National Lawyers Guild, Women’s March Action and Eastside Padres.

There will be a rally outside City Hall at 2 p.m. with activists sharing “stories on the importance on how it is crucial and necessary to defend a heightened onslaught of attacks against vulnerable communities,” according to organizers.

The rally is organized by the International League of Peoples’ Struggles, BAYAN, Nodotul, International Migrants Alliance, Nodotul, and more local organizations.

The Revcom Corps for the Emancipation of Humanity, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA, announced it will engage in a “dramatic visual protest” at Trump’s star on the Walk of Fame at 9 a.m., coinciding with his swearing in in Washington.
