Before the event, Trump took to social media to express his frustrations, launching a tirade against former President Joe Biden. In an all-caps message, Trump accused Biden of being “the scum that spent the last four years trying to destroy our country through warped radical left minds” and criticized him for allowing “an open border that only an incompetent president would approve.” Trump also targeted federal judges who have blocked his mass deportation agenda, labeling them as “USA hating judges” and expressing hope that the Supreme Court would intervene.
CNN reports that Trump’s visit to Arlington comes amid a backdrop of political tensions, including his criticism of Biden’s Afghanistan policy. The trip coincides with the third anniversary of a suicide bombing in Afghanistan that killed 13 American service members.
