Saks Global Enterprises, the parent company of the luxury stores Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, announced that it will now close eight of its Saks Fifth Avenue stores and Neiman Marcus Boston amid its recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy via the New York Post.
The shuttered Saks Fifth Avenue stores include locations in Philadelphia; Columbus, Ohio; and Phoenix, according to the company, which had previously revealed the locations of its Saks Off 5th and Neiman Marcus Last Call stores set to close earlier this week.
Saks Global Enterprises will continue operations in 25 Saks Fifth Avenue stores, 35 Neiman Marcus stores and two Bergdorf Goodman stores with closures set for the end of April.
“We are initiating a series of actions to reinforce Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman as the ultimate destinations for luxury with a seamless multichannel shopping experience,” said Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO of Saks Global, in a statement obtained by the New York Post.
