Police Seek To Identify Person Of Interest In Teen’s Murder

The San Bernadino Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a teenager that happened early Tuesday morning.

Police say authorities from the Fontana Sheriff’s station responded to the 10600 block of Geronimo Avenue in Bloomington shortly after 1 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

When authorities arrived to the scene, they found Robert Plyley, 15, lying on a driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. Although medical aid was rendered and Plyley was taken to a local hospital, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later.

An investigation revealed that a large party had taken place at the scene and several fights broke out, during which Plyley was shot.

So far, no arrests has been made.

Anyone with information about this case or who may have video from the party, regardless of whether or not it captured the fight or shooting, is asked or to contact Detective David Carpenter, Specialized Investigations Division, at (909) 890-4904 and/or forward the video to PAffairs@sbcsd.org. Callers can remain anonymous and contact We-Tip at 800-78CRIME or www.wetip.com.
