Police Pursuit Ends With Fiery Crash In Bell   

BELL (CNS)- A police pursuit ended in a fiery crash in Bell today after a suspect possibly driving under the influence smashed into another vehicle and flipped onto its roof, authorities said.  

The pursuit began just before 11 p.m. in Boyle Heights, and the suspect led officers through Vernon and other Eastside communities before driving at high speeds into Bell.  

The suspect was taken into custody by Los Angeles Police Department officers at 11:18 p.m. near Bell High School, where the suspect’s white SUV ran through an intersection at Otis and Bell avenues, clipped another vehicle and then went airborne, with sparks flying, as it finally slammed into a power pole and then a tree.  

No injuries were reported.
