EAST LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A person was killed Saturday morning in a single- vehicle crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway in East Los Angeles that also ignited a small grass fire, authorities said.
Firefighters and paramedics dispatched to the location about 5:30 a.m. quickly knocked the fire, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
The crash occurred about 5:30 a.m. on the eastbound freeway at South Indiana Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A white sedan caught fire when it struck the center divider, the CHP said.
Paramedics did not rush anyone to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
There was no other immediate information available.
