A UFO was reported to have nearly crashed into a commercial airliner off the coast of New York, according to the Pentagon’s bombshell new report via the Independent.
The review included hundreds of cases involving unidentified and unexplained flying objects such as misidentified balloons, birds and satellites, however, didn’t show any confirmed indications of extraterrestrial origin. A specific incident that remains under investigation took place when a “cylindrical object” was reported to be flying over the Atlantic Ocean and nearly collided with a commercial airliner, as reported by the flight crew. Three other cases reportedly involved military air crews being followed by UFOs, none of which resulted in injuries.
Witnesses commonly described the UFOs as having unidentified lights or being round-shaped objects, while one claimed to have seen a jellyfish with flashing lights. Lawmakers heard testimony from several expert witnesses during a hearing on UAPs Wednesday (November 13), which included two former military officers.
The report reflects a growing public interest in UFOs and the government’s effort to provide more details on the phenomena.
“There is something out there,” said Republican Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee via the Independent. “The question is: Is it ours, is it someone else’s, or is it otherworldly?”
