A man has been caught on camera filming women in the restrooms at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California. According to FOX 11, at least two women have reported being filmed, with incidents dating back to October 2024. The most recent incident occurred earlier this month in a different restroom on the Valencia campus.
The first incident was reported in April 2024, and the second was captured on video by a victim in October 2024. The video has recently surfaced on social media, prompting further investigation. The victim, who recorded the October incident, described seeing a hand with a phone emerging from under the stall. She confronted the man, who was dressed in black with his face covered, and chased him out of the bathroom.
College officials and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are actively investigating the incidents. They have urged anyone with information to contact Campus Safety at 661-362-3229 or the Sheriff’s Station at 661-260-4000. Despite the video evidence, the suspect remains unidentified, as neither victim could get a clear look at him.
The college emphasized its commitment to student safety and has briefed Campus Safety officers on the situation. They are on alert for any future incidents. Eric Harnish, spokesperson for the college, stated, “We take the safety of our students seriously, and our Campus Safety officers have all been briefed on what occurred and are alert for future incidents.”
