Patrick Muldoon, known for his roles in ‘Days of Our Lives’, ‘Melrose Place’, and ‘Starship Troopers’, has died at 57.
The actor passed away suddenly on Sunday from a heart attack at his Beverly Hills home, as confirmed by his manager to Variety. His sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, shared with TMZ that he was found unconscious on the bathroom floor after spending the morning with his girlfriend.
Muldoon began his acting career in the early ’90s, first appearing in ‘Who’s the Boss?’ and ‘Saved by the Bell’. He gained fame as Austin Reed on ‘Days of Our Lives’ from 1992 to 1995 and again in 2011-2012. He also played Richard Hart on ‘Melrose Place’. In 1997, he starred as Zander Barcalow in the film ‘Starship Troopers’.
Recently, Muldoon had been working as an executive producer on the upcoming film ‘Kockroach’, starring Chris Hemsworth and Taron Egerton. He had also completed filming ‘Dirty Hands’, an action thriller set for release later this month.
