Two students were arrested for allegedly planning a shooting at Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas. According to the Schertz Police Department, school administrators contacted a school resource officer on Thursday (August 28) after learning about the threats made by the students the previous week.
During the investigation, police discovered that one juvenile male student expressed a desire to “shoot up the school,” while another student suggested he could provide weapons. A fellow student reported these threats to the school administration, which led to the prompt involvement of law enforcement. The two students were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center. They face charges of making terroristic threats, a third-degree felony. Video evidence supporting the charges was obtained by the police.
The Schertz Police Department expressed gratitude to the student who reported the threats and acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the school administration during the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working to ensure the safety of all students and staff at Clemens High School.
