Ontario Tower Buzzers Start Season with Sold-Out Crowd

The Ontario Tower Buzzers, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ newest Minor League Baseball team, kicked off their inaugural season with a sold-out crowd at ONT Field on Thursday evening.

Thousands of fans gathered to witness the first-ever game of the Single-A affiliate in the California League, creating an electrifying atmosphere.

The opening game saw the Tower Buzzers face off against the Lake Elsinore Storm, ending in a 7-5 loss for the home team. Despite the defeat, fans were thrilled to be part of the historic event. “We love it,” said fan Danny Mejia. “It’s state-of-the-art.” The new $100 million aviation-themed stadium, located at 9375 E. Riverside Drive in Ontario, boasts modern amenities, including new restaurants, club suites, and a team shop.

The opening day festivities featured appearances by former Dodgers legends such as Darryl Strawberry and Mickey Hatcher, as well as a performance by B-Real from Cypress Hill. Maverick, the team’s bee mascot, made a grand entrance in a custom Tower Buzzers lowrider, adding to the excitement of the event.

Fans enjoyed a variety of food options and seating arrangements, with many expressing their satisfaction with the family-friendly environment. “I’ll be back, definitely,” said Stacy Perez, who attended with her family. “It seems really family-friendly here.”

The Tower Buzzers continue their series against the Storm with games scheduled for Friday and Saturday, both of which have also sold out. For more information on future games and events, visit the team’s official website at MiLB.com.
