The powerful new drama One Battle After Another is drawing attention for its raw portrayal of resilience and survival. It’s earned a whopping 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and is getting positive reviews across the board. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio del Toro. DiCaprio plays Bob, a burned-out revolutionary haunted by paranoia who lives off the grid with his fiercely independent daughter, Willa. But when his old nemesis resurfaces and Willa disappears, Bob is thrust back into action, forcing father and daughter to confront the dangerous fallout of their past lives.
On a lighter note, DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is set to delight families with its whimsical world and colorful adventures as Gabby and friends leap from the small screen to the big screen. And Scarlett Johannsen makes her directorial debut with Eleanor the Great, starring June Squibb. She plays a lonely woman who lies about surviving the Holocaust, and the lie snowballs out of control.
