Nonprofit Offers To Resume Search For Missing Baby If Parents Cooperate

The Uvalde Foundation for Kids, a nonprofit organization, has expressed frustration over the stalled search for missing seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro from Cabazon, California. The foundation had initially offered to assist in the search and provided a $5,000 reward for information leading to the boy’s whereabouts. However, they withdrew their support when law enforcement indicated that the boy’s parents, Jake and Rebecca Haro, had ceased cooperating with the investigation.

The situation has taken a new turn after the Haros’ attorney stated that the couple is indeed cooperating with authorities. In response, the Uvalde Foundation for Kids decided to extend an olive branch, offering to resume their assistance in the search efforts. The organization issued “a direct challenge” to the parents to re-engage in the search for their missing child.

The case began on August 14 when Emmanuel’s mother reported that he was taken from her outside a Big 5 sporting goods store in Yucaipa. Despite the initial setback, the foundation is now willing to give the Haros “the benefit of the doubt” and hopes to collaborate with them to find Emmanuel.
