Nearly 800 illegal migrants were arrested during the first four days of Operation Tidal Wave, a massive joint effort by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Florida authorities, according to information obtained by FOX News on Saturday (April 26).
The arrests included Jose Sanchez Reyes, a Colombian convicted of homicide in his home country; Rafael Cabrera, a Guatemalan and alleged MS-13 member who reentered the United States three times; Savva Klishchevskii, a Russian with an Interpol Red Notice from his home country in relation to vehicular manslaughter; and Aron Isaak Morazan-Izaguirre, a Honduran suspected to be a member of the 18th Street gang. Operation Tidal Wave is ongoing and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials were credited for giving “extraordinary support” during the operation, according to ICE.
“In a first-of-its-kind partnership between state and federal partners, ICE Miami and Florida law enforcement arrested nearly 800 illegal aliens this week during the first four days of #OperationTidalWave — a massive, multi-agency, immigration enforcement crackdown,” ICE wrote on its X account.
Last week, the New York Post reported that more than 200 known or suspected terrorists have been arrested in mass deportation raids carried out by President Donald Trump‘s administration since his inauguration in January. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers have reportedly arrested 219 known or alleged terrorists, which is a 655% increase from the same period in 2024 when 29 arrests were made under former President Joe Biden‘s administration, according to new Homeland Security data obtained by the newspaper last Tuesday (April 22).
