Nearly 138,000 Beds Recalled Because They Can Collapse During Use

CVB Inc. is recalling nearly 138,00 Lucid-branded platform beds with upholstered square tufted headboards because they might break or collapse during use.

The recall applies to Twin, Full, Queen, King, and Cal-King-sized beds.

The beds were sold in stores and online at Amazon.com, Bed Bath & Beyond, Belk.com, Brookside, eBay, Home Depot, JC Penney, Lowes.com, Lucid, Macys, Menards, Overstock, QVC, Sears.com, Target.com, Malouf VIP, Wayfair, and Walmart from September 2019 through April 2024 for between $150 and $250.

CVB Inc. has received 245 reports of the beds breaking or collapsing during use, resulting in 18 injuries.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled beds. Anybody who purchased the recalled beds can receive a free replacement bed frame by emailing a photo of the support rails on the underside of the bed or a picture of the law label to recall@lucidmattress.com. Before taking a photo, consumers must write “recalled” on the support rails of the bed with a permanent marker.
