Billionaire Elon Musk fired back at California Gov. Gavin Newsom after the X account for his office wrote, “We’re sorry your daughter hates you, Elon,” referring to his estranged transgender daughter, who goes by Vivian Jenna Wilson.
“I assume you’re referring to my son, Xavier, who has a tragic mental illness caused by the evil woke mind virus you push on vulnerable children,” Musk wrote on his X account, referring to Vivian by the name given and gender assigned to her at birth. “I love Xavier very much and hope he recovers. My daughters are Azure, Exa (she goes by Y) and Arcadia, and they do indeed love me very much.”
Wilson, one of six children Musk shared with his first wife, Justine Wilson, among his 14 with four different women, filed a petition in California to change her gender and name in 2022, dropping her father’s surname for her mother’s, as well as any association with him, claiming she “no longer lives with or wishes to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.” Musk had publicly claimed that his child was “killed by the woke mind virus” and that he was “tricked” into letting her transition at the age of 16.
Wilson had publicly threatened to leave the U.S. after Trump’s 2024 election win and publicly bashed her father, referring to him as “cartoonishly evil” and a “pathetic man-child” who refused to accept her gender, having since launched a career as a media personality and model.
