A shooting at Antioch High School in Tennessee on Wednesday (January 22) left three students injured and prompted a lockdown. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the school’s cafeteria, where a student shot two other students before turning the gun on themselves. The conditions of the injured students remain unknown at this time.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the situation is contained, and the shooter is no longer a threat. The school is currently on lockdown, and students are being gathered in the auditorium. A reunification site for parents has been established at 3754 Murfreesboro Pike, with buses transporting students there.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
Metro Nashville Public Schools released a statement acknowledging the shooting and said they are working with law enforcement to provide further updates.
