NORTHRIDGE (CNS) – A multiple-vehicle collision prompted rescue operations Monday on an intersection in Northridge, where two trapped people required extrication, officials said.
Units were dispatched about 7:50 a.m. to the 19700 block of W. Parthenia Street at the intersection of Corbin Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The four-vehicle collision resulted in four victims sustaining injuries.
The two victims who were trapped in vehicles were safely extricated, department officials said.
Three of the victims, women ages 20, 24 and 50, were taken to a hospital, and their conditions were not immediately available. The last victim, a 33-year-old man, declined LAFD transportation.
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
