LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Beginning Tuesday evening, some lanes will be closed on the San Diego (405) Freeway through the Sepulveda Pass during overnight hours as Caltrans crews work on the median barriers.
The state agency said the overnight closures will begin at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, continuing until 6 a.m. the following mornings. Up to two lanes on both the northbound and southbound freeway between Wilshire Boulevard and Mulholland Drive/Skirball Center Drive are expected to be affected.
The work is part of the $143.7 million, I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project between Van Nuys and Westwood.
The project has also closed lanes on the freeway during weekends.
“Extended weekend lane closures will occur about every two weeks along various sections of I-405 for approximately 25 weekends,” Caltrans said.
