Minute Maid Discontinuing Frozen Juices After 80 Years

Minute Maid’s iconic frozen juice concentrates will soon vanish from grocery store freezers after an impressive 80-year run, marking the end of a product that helped revolutionize how Americans consume orange juice.

Coca-Cola, which owns the Minute Maid brand, announced on Thursday that it’s completely “exiting the frozen can category in response to shifting consumer preferences.” The company will discontinue its entire lineup of frozen juice concentrates in the coming months, with products remaining available only until current supplies run out.

“With the juice category growing strongly, we’re focusing on products that better match what our consumers want,” a Coca-Cola spokesperson told CNN, signaling the company’s strategic pivot toward fresh juice options.

The affected products include Minute Maid’s frozen orange juice, lemonade, pink lemonade, raspberry lemonade, and limeade concentrates. All frozen products will be discontinued in the first quarter of 2026.

The frozen juice category has struggled significantly in recent years. According to market research firm NIQ, sales of frozen beverages fell nearly 8% for the 52-week period ending January 24, 2026. This decline comes as consumers increasingly turn to fresh alternatives and other beverage options like energy drinks and protein smoothies.

Rising prices have also impacted the frozen juice market. A 12-ounce can of frozen orange juice cost an average of $4.82 in December 2025, representing a 13% increase from the previous year, according to U.S. government data cited by the Associated Press.

While Minute Maid’s frozen concentrates are being discontinued, the brand will continue to offer its fresh juice products, including zero-sugar varieties that were introduced in 2020 to address consumer concerns about added sugars in juices.
