On Sunday afternoon, a group of minibike riders took over an intersection in Downtown Los Angeles, blocking traffic and performing stunts. The incident occurred at the intersection of Francisco Street and West 8th Street, near the 110 Freeway. The event was captured on video and shared on Citizen.com, showing dozens of minibikes causing a disruption in the area.
Witnesses reported that the group continued to ride throughout Downtown Los Angeles for the rest of the day. As of now, it remains unclear whether any arrests were made or if the police intervened during the incident. This event echoes a similar occurrence in 2023 when minibike riders blocked traffic in Hollywood. During that incident, actor Ian Ziering, known for his role in “Beverly Hills 90210,” was involved in a confrontation with the riders, which he described as “hooliganism” and called for more effective law enforcement.
The minibike takeover has raised concerns about public safety and the need for better regulation of such activities.
