An Arkansas couple, Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were tragically killed while hiking with their two young daughters at Devil’s Den State Park on Saturday (July 26). The children, ages seven and nine, were unharmed and are now with relatives, according to Arkansas State Police.
The suspect in the case remains at large. Authorities have described the suspect as a white man with a medium build, wearing a long-sleeved shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark pants, a dark baseball cap, sunglasses, and fingerless gloves. He was seen driving a black, four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with a license plate that may have been covered with electrical or duct tape.
The couple had recently moved to the area from another state, and their bodies were discovered on a trail in the park’s rugged and remote terrain, which lacks cellphone service.
State police have asked park visitors from that day to review any cellphone photos or videos for potential images of the suspect. They are also seeking security footage from area residents and urge anyone with information to contact them at 479-751-6663.
The Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism expressed deep sadness over the event, emphasizing their commitment to visitor safety. An increased law enforcement presence will be in place at state parks as the investigation continues.
