Man Suspected Of Shooting at Sheriff’s Deputies in City Terrace Arrested

CITY TERRACE (CNS) – A man suspected of shooting at sheriff’s deputies in the unincorporated City Terrace area Friday was arrested.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to the area of Fisher Street and North Marianna Avenue, near Esteban E. Torres High School, about 4:50 p.m. on reports of an assault with a deadly weapon and came under fire as they arrived at the scene, according reports from the department and CBS2.

CBS2 reported deputies returned fire at the suspect, though the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported deputies did not fire their weapons.

No deputies were injured in the shooting.

Deputies established a perimeter in the area to search for the man, and eventually found and arrested him by about 6 p.m.

The man’s name was not immediately released, and authorities did not immediately confirm if he was struck in the shooting.
