Man Grabs Jewelry From Downtown Store In Smash-And-Grab Robbery

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A man believed to be in his 30s used a sledgehammer to smash the glass in front of a downtown Los Angeles jewelry store and made off with an unknown amount of jewelry.  

The smash-and-grab robbery took place at the Mr. Jewelry store in the 600 block of South Hill Street around 5:30 p.m., KTLA 5 reported.  

The robber fled in a blue Cadillac whose plates were covered up, the station reported.
