SANTA ANA (CNS) – A 29-year-old man was charged Thursday with kidnapping and raping one victim and sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Anaheim.
Ricardo Sanchez was charged with kidnapping to commit a sex offense, forcible rape with a foreign object, sexual penetration by a foreign object and assault with the intent to commit a sex offense, all felonies, for one female victim, according to the criminal complaint. He was also charged with two felony counts of lewd acts on a child 14 or 15 years old, for the second alleged victim, according to the complaint.
Sanchez, whose city of residence was not disclosed, was accused of assaulting one alleged victim on Jan. 16, 2023, and the other on Oct. 11 of that same year.
Sanchez did not enter a plea at his arraignment in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana on Thursday. His arraignment was rescheduled for Sept. 20 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
Messages left with police and prosecutors requesting further details were not immediately returned.
