Oren, Tal, and Alon Alexander, prominent figures in the luxury real estate market, are facing expanded charges in a federal sex trafficking case. The charges now include allegations from seven victims, with accusations ranging from sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion to aggravated sexual abuse. The brothers, known for their influence in New York and Miami real estate, allegedly used their status to lure women with promises of luxury travel and accommodations.
The new charges, part of a superseding indictment, add to the previous accusations against the Alexanders, which initially involved two women. Prosecutors claim the brothers orchestrated a decade-long scheme, drugging and assaulting women, sometimes on lavish trips. The indictment details incidents dating back to 2009, including an alleged assault on a Bahamian cruise ship in 2012.
The Alexanders pleaded not guilty to all charges during their arraignment in Manhattan federal court. Their attorneys argue that the charges lack merit, citing polygraph tests passed by Alon Alexander as evidence of their innocence.
The case has sent shockwaves through the real estate industry, where the Alexander Group was known for brokering multimillion-dollar deals. The brothers are currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting trial scheduled for January. If convicted, they face 15 years to life in prison.
