Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold will remain in custody following his arrest for robbery and kidnapping in Florida. On Thursday (June 25), Arnold appeared virtually from jail in Hillsborough County for his first court appearance, where the judge ordered him held without bond until his next appearance on Monday (June 29). Arnold is accused of orchestrating a plan to lure three men to an apartment, where they were allegedly beaten, robbed, and held at gunpoint.
Arnold reportedly began planning the alleged retaliation after reporting to police that $200,000 in personal items were stolen from an Airbnb he owned. He now faces multiple felony charges, including four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, which carry a potential life sentence if convicted.
According to the Florida state attorney’s office, Arnold voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Wednesday (June 24) after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Prosecutors allege that Arnold coordinated with others, including his childhood friend Boakai Hilton, to carry out the crime. Hilton and several other co-defendants remain in custody without bond, while two others, Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo, have pleaded guilty and agreed to testify in future proceedings.
Arnold, through his attorney, denies any involvement in the crime and maintains his innocence. Denise White, CEO of EAG Sports Management, stated, “There is no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations.” The Detroit Lions acknowledged Arnold’s legal situation but declined to comment further due to the ongoing legal process.
Arnold, a first-round draft pick in 2024, is in the third year of his rookie contract with the Lions. The NFL has confirmed that Arnold’s case will undergo the standard disciplinary review process for players.
