Legoland California’s Driving School Attractions to Reopen

Legoland California is gearing up to reopen its revamped Driving School attractions on May 21, following an eight-month closure for relocation. The move was necessary to make room for the park’s first indoor roller coaster, part of the new “LEGO Galaxy” land. The Driving School and Junior Driving School will now be located in Fun Town, replacing the former police and fire academy attractions.

The updated attractions will feature new tracks with realistic road scenarios, including intersections, roundabouts, and a car wash with interactive bubble triggers. Children aged three to twelve will have the opportunity to earn their own Legoland driver’s license upon completing the course.

The reopening coincides with Legoland California’s Summer Play Pass promotion, offering unlimited visits through September 19. The new “LEGO Galaxy” land, featuring the intergalactic coaster inside a 44-foot-tall Lego-themed space port, is expected to open in 2026, although an exact date has not been announced.

According to Fox 5 San Diego, the coaster will be the first added to the park since 2004.
