Legends Live On: Inside the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with John Sykes

Music royalty is taking center stage in Los Angeles this weekend as the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony comes to the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live, honoring an eclectic mix of rock, soul, and hip-hop icons.

This year’s inductees include Soundgarden, Outkast, The White Stripes, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Salt-N-Pepa, Bad Company, Warren Zevon, and industry legend Lenny Waronker. The diverse lineup reflects the ever-evolving sound of rock & roll — from the grunge roots of the Pacific Northwest to the groundbreaking beats of southern hip-hop.

An all-star lineup of today’s biggest artists will take the stage to celebrate the honorees, including Elton John, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, Brandi Carlile, Beck, En Vogue, Janelle Monáe, Joe Perry, and Bryan Adams. Comedy greats David Letterman and Jim Carrey will also appear during the ceremony, adding humor and nostalgia to the night’s tributes.

John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and President of iHeartMedia Entertainment Enterprises, says this year’s show captures the true diversity and global influence of rock music.

Sykes also helped make Los Angeles a permanent part of the induction rotation, now sharing hosting duties every three years with New York and Cleveland, where the Hall’s museum is based.

The 2025 class includes a wide range of firsts — from Salt-N-Pepa’s trailblazing legacy as the first all-female rap group to achieve platinum success, to Soundgarden’s influence on the grunge movement and Outkast’s reinvention of southern hip-hop.

Tributes will also honor late music legends, including Brian Wilson, Ozzy Osbourne, Sly Stone, and Warren Zevon, ensuring that the night balances celebration with reflection.

As Sykes puts it, the Hall’s mission is not just to honor the past but to connect generations through music.

The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony streams live from Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, celebrating the power of music to unite generations, genres, and cultures under one timeless rhythm — rock & roll. Tickets are available here.
