LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Authorities sought the public’s assistance Wednesday in locating a suspect involved in the fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old man in the Westlake area of Los Angeles last year.
The stabbing was reported near the intersection of Westlake Avenue and Sixth Street, near MacArthur Park on the night of Aug. 6, 2024, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim was identified as Joey Darnell Thomas, but a motive for the homicide was unknown.
The Los Angeles City Council has established a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the killing.
