Lamborghini Driver Allegedly Abandons Vehicle After Fatal Crash

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A woman in her 30s was killed Monday in a Hancock Park crash involving a Lamborghini, the driver of which abandoned the luxury sports car and fled the scene.

The crash happened at 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of First Street and Highland Avenue, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison.

The Lamborghini was being driven north on Highland when it collided with an eastbound vehicle whose driver was reported to be in critical condition at a hospital, Madison said.

A passenger in the eastbound vehicle, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at a hospital, he said.

Both victims had to be freed from the wrecked SUV, which came to rest atop a large boulder, its air bags deployed, according to a report from the scene.

A description of the driver was not immediately available.

The LAPD’s West Traffic Division was investigating.
