WEST LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Firefighters knocked down a fire this evening inside one unit in an apartment building that threatened offices above a parking area in west Los Angeles. Â
The blaze at 10642 W. Santa Monica Blvd., just east of Manning Avenue, was reported at 5:05 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange. Â
The fire spread to the building’s attic and threatened three units with fire and smoke damage, Prange said. Â
The department dispatched 30 firefighters to the scene and they extinguished the flames in about 26 minutes, Prange said. Â
No injuries were reported, he said and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
