LA Courts Close for Dodgers’ Victory Parade

Los Angeles will celebrate the Dodgers’ World Series victory with a parade on Monday, leading to the closure of several downtown courthouses. The parade, which starts at 11 a.m., will cause street closures and large crowds, prompting the rescheduling of court matters. The Stanley Mosk Courthouse, Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, and others in the Civic Center area will be closed, with cases continued or rescheduled as reported by the Daily News.

City officials encourage downtown businesses to allow remote work or adjusted schedules to avoid anticipated traffic congestion. The parade will begin at Temple Street and Broadway Avenue, proceeding through downtown streets, which will be closed to vehicles according to the Los Angeles Department of Transportation. Public transit is recommended for those attending the parade.

The Los Angeles Unified School District will keep schools open, but parents are advised to allow extra travel time for students. The parade will culminate in a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, with gates opening at 9 a.m. as detailed by LAist.
