Influencer Killadamente, a digital creator who amassed more than 6.7 million followers on her Instagram account, has died at the age of 27, according to a tribute post shared by her sister, Katyan, on Instagram.
“I love you sister and I will always love you,” Katyan wrote on her Instagram Story, which was screenshot and shared by the Daily Mail. “I give thanks to God for giving me a sister like you with your big heart. Rest in peace my sister. To all the people who are sending me messages of condolences, I want to thank you a lot for being there and for your support. And thank you also for supporting my sister while she was still alive.”
Killademnte, whose real name was Carol Acosta, was reported to have died after choking at dinner, a cousin told the Mirror, though an official cause of death hasn’t yet been determined.
“I know everyone wants to know what happened, but we still are not too sure and we are awaiting the post-mortem results,” they said. “All I know is that she was having dinner as normal and she began to choke and have difficulties breathing. She had an attack of some kind, she was taken to hospital, but they couldn’t save her.”
Acosta moved from her native Dominican Republic to the U.S. at the age of 12 and gained notoriety on social media for spreading body positivity, while also releasing her debut song ‘Me Amo y No Me Importa,’ which translates to ‘I Love Myself and I Don’t Care’ in English. The influencer was the mother of two young girls.
