LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Police continued to search for a suspect and a motive Monday after a 40-year-old man was shot to death near Universal Studios.
The shooting was reported around 11:20 a.m. Sunday at 10801 Ventura Blvd., at the Universal City/Studio City Station Park & Ride.
Officers found a man on the ground with a gunshot wound, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics treated the man, but he died at the scene. His name was being withheld until his family can be notified, police said.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction. He was described as a man in his 30s with dreadlocks and wearing a plaid shirt and black clothing, KTLA5 reported.
Detectives with the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division Valley Bureau Section were searching the neighborhood for witnesses and surveillance video.
