Gerber Products Company has recalled and discontinued its Soothe ‘n’ Chew Teething Sticks due to potential choking hazards. The recall follows reports of an emergency room visit linked to the product. The recall affects all batches and flavors, including Strawberry Apple and Banana, which are sold nationwide and online.
The recall was initiated after consumer complaints about choking incidents. Gerber, owned by Nestlé USA, has advised parents and caregivers to stop using the product immediately and return it to retailers for a full refund. The company is working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to address the issue.
Gerber expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and assured customers that they are available for support 24/7 at 1-800-443-7237. The company also emphasized the importance of contacting a healthcare provider if there are any health concerns related to the product.
