The program is designed to take the guesswork out of rebuilding, providing turnkey solutions for families eager to return to their foothill community.
Before the Eaton Fire tore through the area, Altadena’s neighborhoods were known for their charm — a distinctive patchwork of vintage bungalows and period revival homes that set the community apart from the mass-produced subdivisions found elsewhere in Southern California. That character made Altadena a beloved place to live, and many displaced residents have been determined to find a way back.
The road home, however, has not been easy. Redfin data shows the median sales price for an existing Altadena home hit $1.275 million in January 2026 — a figure well out of reach for many fire survivors.
