A friend of Barron Trump, the son of President Donald Trump, claims he saved her life by calling police after he saw her being attacked by her ex-boyfriend during a FaceTime call, Metro UK reports.
The victim reportedly reached out to Trump in the middle of a violent attack by her ex-boyfriend Matvei Rumianstev, 22, who allegedly battered her over his jealousy of her relationship with the president’s son, in January 2025. Trump reportedly dialed 999 — the British emergency equivalent to America’s 911 — and told operators “I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up” and gave them her address, urging them to respond to the scene immediately.
“It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up,” Trump reportedly said during the call.
The unidentified woman told the Snaresbrook Crown Court that Trump “saved my life” and claimed that the FaceTime call was “a sign from God.” Responding police confirmed to the woman that an individual in the United States placed the call, but didn’t specifically name the president’s son, in bodycam footage.
“I am friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son,” the woman told officers at the scene, according to Metro UK.
Police asked her to call him back to confirm what she told them, which she complied to, saying, “Hello, Barron — did you call the police or anything.”
“I had someone call the police,” Trump told the officers. “She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something.”
Trump said he could only see the ceiling during the video call, which lasted for about 10 to 15 seconds before cutting off, but heard the woman screaming, crying and being attacked.
“I called you guys; that was the best thing I could do. I wasn’t going to call back and threaten things to him because that would just make the situation worse,” Trump said.
