PALMDALE (CNS) – A motorist was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and five vehicles were impounded or stored during an overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in Palmdale, authorities said Saturday.
Also, five people were cited for driving with a suspended license and 21 were cited for driving without a license during the checkpoint at 10th Street West and Technology Drive, which began Friday at 6 p.m. and ended at 2 a.m., the sheriff’s Palmdale station reported.
Two people were also cited for driving without their child in a car seat.
The sheriff’s Palmdale station reported that 1,320 vehicles were contacted at the checkpoint.
