FEMA Deadline Approaching For Wildfire Victims

This morning, Amy talked with Media Relations Specialist for Disaster Operations Division at FEMA La Tanga Hopes about FEMA deadlines approaching for LA wildfire victims. Hear that interview below.

Homeowners, renters and small businesses impaacted by the fires in LA County have until March 10th to apply for both FEMA disaster assistance and a U.S. Small Business Administraion (SBA) low-interest disaster loan.

Here’s how to apply for disaster assistance:

  • Online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
  • Via the FEMA App (available at the Apple App Store or Google Play)
  • Call the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362, lines open 4am-10pm 7 days a week.
  • Visit a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC). To find one near you, CLICK HERE

How to apply for an SBA Low-Interest Disaster loan:

  • Online at SBA.gov/disaster
  • Call SBA’s Customer Service Center hotline at 800-659-2955.
  • Email DisasterCustomerService@sba.gov
  • At a Business Recovery Center, where you can submit a completed application or SBA representatives can help you apply. To find a BRC near you, CLICK HERE.
  • Applications for disaster loans may be submitted online using the MySBA Loan Portal
