FBI ‘Stonewalled’ House Investigation Into Trump Shooter: Report

The FBI reportedly “stonewalled” the House investigation into Thomas Crooks‘ attempted assassination of President Donald Trump on the 2024 campaign trail, two congressmen who were involved in the investigation told the New York Post this week.

The New York Post had reported on violent past social media posts that were believed to have been shared by Crooks on Monday (November 17), which included endorsements of political violence and detailed a significant shift from being a hardcore advocate for the president to attempting to shoot him. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) and Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas), however, claim the files were never shared with the Congressional investigation by the FBI.

“I think that there’s so many unanswered questions about it,” Kelly said via the New York Post. “They don’t want people to handle the truth.”

“We all know it wasn’t done, it wasn’t complete and the reason for that is they can’t handle the truth,” he added in reference to how the FBI treated the Congressional investigation. “They don’t want people to handle the truth.”

Congressional investigators reportedly faced several roadblocks including Crooks’ body being cremated too quickly and his blood being washed from the roof where he was shot by a United States Secret Service counter-sniper team on July 13, 2024, according to Kelly. The House report was released in December 2024, five months after the attempted shooting took place at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Fallon called for a new probe to reveal more details publicly, claiming he doesn’t remember the FBI ever sharing the newly revealed information on Crooks’ online footprint when he participated in the investigation.

“I don’t think it would do any harm at all,” Fallon said, echoing Kelly’s complaints about the situation via the New York Post.

“You can’t investigate these things enough,” he added.
