“Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” Roller Coaster Opens Summer 2026

Universal Studios Hollywood is officially stepping on the gas. The theme park announced “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift”, its first-ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster, will open this summer, and it’s already revving up fans with a big-budget media blitz.

The new ride will be promoted with a 30 TV spot narrated by Vin Diesel, airing during major NBC and Peacock events, including the Winter Olympics, Super Bowl LX, and the NBA All-Star Game.

Located on the Upper Lot at Universal Studios Hollywood, the coaster features groundbreaking 360-degree rotation technology designed to mimic drifting cars. Riders will spin at speeds up to 72 miles per hour, soaring along more than 4,100 feet of track that winds above the park — including over the iconic Starway escalators.

The attraction also launches as Universal celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Fast & Furious franchise, which has earned more than $7 billion worldwide and is gearing up for its final theatrical chapter in 2028.

Bottom line: This isn’t just a new ride, it’s Universal’s biggest summer flex yet.
