LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Dozens of flights between the East Coast and Los Angeles International Airport were cancelled Monday morning due to the blizzard that is pounding a large swath of the nation’s Eastern Seaboard.
As of 4:30 a.m. Monday, more than 111 flights into and out of LAX were cancelled. At least 30 of those were flights to John F. Kennedy International in New York City, Newark Liberty International in New Jersey and Boston Logan International, according to FlightAware.
Nearly 40 flights destined for LAX were cancelled from the same airports.
The FlightAware Misery Map showed the greatest number of “Misery” flights were from the New York City area, followed by Boston and the District of Columbia. In total FlightAware reported that 119 LAX flights had been cancelled in a 24 hour period.
