INGLEWOOD (CNS) – Legendary rock band the Eagles have donated $2.5 million for an upcoming FireAid benefit concert planned at Intuit Dome to support communities impacted by the Los Angeles area wildfires.
It’s unclear if the band will appear at the Jan. 30 concert, since it is currently playing a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
The concert is being produced in part by Irving Azoff, the Eagles’ longtime manager.
A talent lineup for the concert has not yet been announced.
The concert is notably being held just days before the Feb. 2 Grammy Awards, meaning many musical acts will be in the Los Angeles area. The concert is also being sponsored by Live Nation and AEG.
The event will be “dedicated to rebuilding communities devastated by wildfires and supporting efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California.”
Information about tickets and performers are expected to be released in the coming days. People interested in donating or receiving ticket information can sign up online at intuitdome.com/fireaidrelief.
