Driver Deliberately Rams Mother’s Day Flower Stand in San Bernardino

Police in San Bernardino County are investigating an incident where a driver allegedly drove into a crowded Mother’s Day flower stand on purpose. The event occurred late Saturday night at A. Martinez Flowers on North Waterman Avenue in San Bernardino.

According to KTLA, the incident unfolded around 11:40 p.m. when a male flower vendor attempted to intervene in a domestic dispute involving a female with a child and the male suspect. The suspect reportedly returned to his vehicle, a 2000s gray four-door Honda Accord, and attempted to run over the vendor. The vendor managed to escape with minor injuries.

Surveillance footage captured the moment the vehicle hit the tented area, endangering at least half a dozen people and leaving the area in disarray. Officers from the San Bernardino Police Department were seen questioning witnesses, and paramedics responded to the scene, though it remains unclear if anyone was hospitalized.

The suspect, described as a Hispanic male, fled the scene in the vehicle. Witnesses reported that the woman with the child also left the area on foot before police arrived. Yahoo News confirmed these details, noting that the investigation is ongoing.

The motive for the crash is not yet known, and no additional details have been provided by authorities.
